HANNOVER MESSE 2011
As a result of the positive economic predictions, exhibitors came to Hannover with high expectations. Parker Hannifin found their expectations exceeded by far. Parker Hannifin managers agreed that this was the „most successful exhibition“ they ever had.
The basis for this extraordinary success were increased visitor numbers with substantially more than 230 000 from Europe and abroad and the fact, that one in three visitors was a decision maker, representing top management.
Of course, as a worldwide leading manufacturer of drive and process/control technologies, Parker already had a well thought out concept for their exhibit. But that wasn’t enough for those in charge and as a result, the existing concept was further developed and optimized to the max.
The three product groups were moved to the foreground and behind them, a bar and communication and meeting area invited guests to stay for a while. Centrally located within the exhibit, Parker demonstrated their innovations in their own Technology Center. Well, it sounds simple, but planning the infrastructure was very complex and lead to ideal conditions in regards to visitor flow and even distribution of customers within the entire exhibit area.
The result? Many happy and enthused vistors and customers at the exhibit and needless to say, the Parker team was even happier.
Yet, we won’t rest on our pillow of success. Talks to make further improvements, if possible, were already started during the show. The Parker marketing team was absolutely ecstatic about the interactive VR presentation technologies shown by IC.IDO and Messebau Keck. Now, further integration of the medium and worldwide use are being discussed intensely. The future looks exciting.
